This book is an account of his spiritual adventure-a mystical voyage that deals with paranormal and supernatural events-taking place over a ten-year period, during which Bill had several near-death-like experiences, combat veteran encounters, life-altering, heart-changing events, fulfills his life-long dream of journeying to India several times, and of opening his heart to a higher level of inner understanding.

From falling off a mountain cliff to encountering cobras, saints, sages, beggars, and bandits, Bill experiences great healing and love, as well as pain and emotional heartaches. In an evolution of spirit, Bill discovers his purpose in his life, his mission, as his heart is physically and spiritually transformed through the alchemy of Divine Love.

William H. McDonald Jr., is affectionately known to his many friends simply as Bill or Rev. Bill. However, Gurunath tenderly calls him "The General."

Author, award-winning poet, artist, Vietnam War veteran, interfaith chaplain and minister, former internet radio host, outspoken advocate for veteran causes, documentary film advisor, international motivational speaker, and founder of both The American Authors Association and The Military Writers Society of America,his biography is deep, wide and impressive and does not exclude serving and mentoring many non-profit organizations.

He was awarded numerous medals and ribbons while serving in the US Army including The Distinguished Flying Cross, The Bronze Star, The Purple Heart, fourteen Air Medals, The Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and several more military awards. From October 1966 through October 1967, he served as crew chief/door gunner in the Vietnam War; flying combat missions with the famed, and much heralded, 128^th Assault Helicopter Company-The Tomahawks.

He writes spiritually based nonfiction books, articles, and poetry, has been a contributing author on dozens of other books, and has written for magazines including The Self-Realization Magazine, and Parade Magazine, as well as newsprint. When he is healthy, he divides his time between India, Europe, and the USA.

He works tirelessly helping PTSD veterans and others in need of spiritual comfort and advice.

A graduate of the University of San Francisco, and San Jose City College. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Carol. Bill lives in Northern California, has two grown children and six grandchildren.
