DEDHAM, Mass. - June 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Chief Financial Officer Michael Barbarita has written a new blog post about holding employees accountable.  Michael writes that not enough business owners hold employees accountable and as a result, most of the burden falls on the owner.  He also writes that there are three main causes to a lack of accountability in a business:

·Inaccurate and untimely financial statements-Since financial statements are the scorecard of any business, they are the best way to track business performance. If they are inaccurate and untimely, the business owner cannot evaluate performance properly.

·Fear of losing the employee-If the business owner thinks too highly of an employee, then he or she may deflect accountability and responsibility away from that employee.

·Lack of a strategic plan-A strategic plan gives the business a direction and the employees a reason to be held accountable.

Holding employees accountable increases both productivity and the value of the business.
