There are two types of dentures Dr. Ferzli may recommend:

Conventional Full - This removable denture is created by your dentist and placed in your mouth after the remaining teeth have been removed and tissues have healed. Receiving this type of denture may take several months.

Immediate - This removable denture is inserted on the same day the remaining teeth are removed. Dr. Ferzli will create a model of your jaw during a preliminary visit, so you don't have to be without teeth during the healing period.

If you have missing teeth, your face can sag, making you appear older than you are. Dentures help keep your face more youthful and give you a more even facial profile. Additionally, dentures can be a little uncomfortable at first. It can be hard to eat and speak with them and keep them in your mouth. However, it takes practice, so give it some time. Dentures are not a lifelong solution to missing teeth. They can start to stain and break down after five years or so. Because each individual mouth is different, dentures may start to feel loose and cause irritation after a while.
