San Antonio Nerd Night Expands to Two Nights Each Month

SAN ANTONIO - June 23, 2016 - PRLog -- San Antonio Nerd Night is pleased to announce that beginning in June there will be two opportunities for gamers of all stripes to support the nonprofit-of-the-month. In addition to regular second Friday Nerd Night at Geeks Café, the newly-minted 501(c)(3) will host an additional event on the fourth Sunday of every month at brand new game store Knight Watch Games.

This Sunday, June 26, 2016 is the first event at Knight Watch Games. The festivities will begin at 2:00 pm and will last until 10:00 pm. Items collected at the event will benefit the Texas Burn Survivor Society's Camp David program. Knight Watch Games is located at 16350 Blanco Rd #116, San Antonio, TX 78232.

San Antonio Nerd Night, which received its 501(c)(3) certification in April, is thrilled to be able to offer this second event with a new, more family-friendly start time. The owners of Knight Watch Games, Paraic and Brenda Mulgrew, are frequent Nerd Night attendees and have supported the charity since its inception. Knight Watch Games celebrated its Grand Opening just this past weekend and San Antonio Nerd Night is looking forward to utilizing its thematically decorated space.

San Antonio Nerd Night is free to attend. Donations will be accepted beginning at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 26. A guest speaker from Texas Burn Survivor Society will briefly address the group early in the afternoon. Nerd Night offers open tabletop board gaming for all ages and interests with a well-stocked game library and plenty of people willing to teach their favorite games to others.

"As we move into this new phase for San Antonio Nerd Night, we are looking forward to sharing our vision with a new audience. Our Friday night event was starting to get a little crowded, and the Board decided that rather than move, we'd branch out," says Stephanie Newman, founder of San Antonio Nerd Night. "Knight Watch is a fabulous new space and we're very excited to be a part of their beginnings."
