Follow on Google News | CollegeSearch Launches Android App, Allows Students to Apply to 6000 Colleges and UniversitiesBy: CollegeSearch.in CollegeSearch CEO & Founder, Anirudh Motwani said the app will allow aspirants to manage their entire admission process using the company's app. "We are the single largest source of online college applications in India, with over 5 lakh applications being processed on the CollegeSearch platform this year. Since a student applies to 2-3 colleges on average and a bulk of the required fields are same across institutes, she would save valuable time on subsequent applications by using the app. Additionally, push notifications ensure the student is immediately aware when their application has been viewed or responded to by the university." While the app is currently available for Android users, who can download and access it through Google Play store, it would also be available on the iOS platform soon. Apart from simplifying the admission process, the app enables aspirants to follow exams and receive important notifications on registration and result dates along with college recommendations based on the exams taken, course preferred and colleges previously applied to. Last year, CollegeSearch unveiled a college rating system called 'Smart Quotient' which is prominently used in the app. The rating, which is assigned to each college out of a total of 10, is calculated on the basis of factors like type of institute, placement record, reputation and rankings, alumni reviews, student-faculty ratio, affiliation & accreditation along with the quality of infrastructure.
