«Russia is facing the task to establish fruitful cooperation with the largest enterprises and universities of China, - says UrFU Vice-Rector for Science Vladimir Kruzhaev. - Since scientific cooperation is only possible though the direct contact between researchers, we are glad to create in the university a venue for the dialog of Russian and Chinese scientists". During the meeting, UrFU plans to sign an agreement for cooperation on the field of education, science and innovation with the one of the leading universities of China - South China University of Technology. The main events of the meeting will be IV Sino-Russian symposium ASRTU "Prospective Materials and Technologies" In particular, the scientists will tell about solar batteries film, ferroelectric composites, technologies of diamond containing material application, work of composites in Arctic conditions and many other topics. Ekaterinburg will gather specialists from universities participating in the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities, for example, Dr. Zijian Zheng, an Associate Professor from the Institute of Textiles and Clothing of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. Zijian Zheng studies polymer science, nanoscience and nanotechnology, surface chemistry, organic electronics, materials science and engineering. His research focuses on controlling the surface architecture at the nanometer length scale. The list of participants also includes PhD students. which will present their researches: Yu Rong from School of Mechanical Engineering, Dalian University of Technology will present "An adaptive restore method for damaged components", Juan Qin from School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology - "The preparation and characterization of a new multifunctional ceramist from lime mud and fly ash", Ze-Xing Cai, from Laboratory of Solid State Ionics, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology - "Growth of Metal Particles on flowerlike WO3 Nanostructures" Reference ASRTU was established in 2011 in the branch of Harbin Institute of Technology in Shenzhen. The association was created in order to unite the leading technical universities of Russia and China to train high-qualified specialists for innovative economy, support academic exchange of students and lecturers, develop scientific and technical cooperation between Russia and China.
