Follow on Google News | Fourth of July Celebration Returns to SahuaritaBy: Rancho Sahuarita The Red, White, and Boom! celebration begins at 6pm and will feature a kids area with 4 bounce houses, 2 facepainters, 4 roaming circus performers, and activities. Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty will also be there and available for fun pictures. There will be a 15 vehicle Food Truck Roundup to provide refreshments and meals and live music will be provided by Heart and Soul. The fireworks show will go from 9:00-9:30pm. "The response to the first Red, White, and Boom! was both incredible and very exciting," said Jeremy Sharpe, Vice President, Community Development at Rancho Sahuarita. "To see the Town come together and celebrate our nation's birth in the spirit of community is exactly what Sahuarita is about." The private Dedication Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting for the Armed Services Tribute will be held at 7:30am that morning. The Armed Services Tribute is located 15700 S. Rancho Sahuarita Boulevard and is comprised of five large monument pillars, each designed to commemorate a different branch of the Armed Forces. Flags for each branch also line the tribute, accompanied by the American flag and Arizona flag. At the heart of the tribute will be a commemorative bronze figure of a soldier, meant to honor the service and sacrifice of all Armed Forces members who serve and sacrifice each day. Visitors will be able to access the tribute through a special entry monument, which will further distinguish the space as a special place meant for thought and reflection. "The vision of the Armed Forces Tribute really came from a place of honoring, respecting and remembering those who have served and the families that have sacrificed so much for our nation," says Bob Sharpe, founder of Rancho Sahuarita. "We owe all the members of the Armed Forces so much, so to erect this tribute to them is a great privilege and honor." The Fourth of July promises to be a special day for everyone in Sahuarita this year. Come together with friends, family, and neighbors and honor our men and women in uniform and celebrate our nation's birthday.
