Follow on Google News | New York Times Bestselling Author Karen Robards Inks Three-book Deal With Mira BooksBy: Harlequin "We're absolutely delighted to be publishing Karen Robards," said Margaret Marbury, Vice President of General Fiction Editorial at Harlequin. "In addition to being one of the most popular voices in women's fiction, she has an incredible gift for creating razor-sharp suspense stories tinged with dark humor." Robards will craft a new suspense series called The Guardian for MIRA Books. The series will feature a femme fatale Robin Hood-type heroine, with the first title set to be published in June 2017. "I love The Guardian series," said Robards. "Bianca St. Ives is one of my favorite heroines ever, and the combination of action, suspense and romance makes her story pure fun to write. And I am absolutely thrilled that MIRA Books is publishing them. As a premier publisher of women's fiction, I feel that they are ideally suited to present this new series." The deal was negotiated by Marbury and MIRA Executive Editor Nicole Brebner with Robert Gottlieb of Trident Media Group. Harlequin acquired North American English rights in the deal. MIRA Books editor Emily Ohanjanians will edit the novels. Karen Robards is the author of 50 books and one novella and is a regular on the New York Times, USA Today and Publishers Weekly bestseller lists.
