The Power Walk for Dress for Success serves as a "walking testament" to the need for success-driven women to become healthy in all aspects of their lives. Studies prove that employees who exercise for at least 30 minutes, three times a week, are 15% more likely to have higher job performance, and 25% more likely when eating healthy. The event shirt - designed locally by VIVE - displays a high heel on the women's shirt and a dress boot on the men's shirt along with uplifting words like "empower, success, hope, renew, transform, impact, overcome". Many of the race participants noted, "This is by far the cutest race shirt I've ever gotten!" Shirts are available for purchase online at tinyurl.com/ Sponsors include Walmart, Emerson, Southwest Airlines, Missouri Foundation for Health, CBIZ, Nike, Express Scripts, Mercy, Civil Design, Five Star Auto and Carmax.
