Committed Credit Union Volunteer Appointed to Chartway Federal Credit Union's Board of Directors

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - June 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Chartway Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that it has appointed long-time credit union volunteer, Richard A. McGrath, to its board of directors. This appointment fills the vacant seat that resulted from the recent retirement of Dallas England.

McGrath is a seasoned leader with more than 27 years of professional business and financial experience - 15 of which he has served the Chartway Family of Credit Unions, contributing as a volunteer on various committees, including its Strategic Development Committee, Asset/Liability Management Committee, and Membership Growth / Pension Investment Committees.

As the founder and chief executive officer of locally-owned and operated Dominion Insurance Group, Inc., McGrath and his team of fully-licensed professionals help a wide range of clients achieve financial security through the management and administration of investment and insurance portfolios.

In addition to his volunteer leadership at the credit union, McGrath has also contributed to numerous other organizations. He currently serves as the second vice chairman for the Old Dominion University Athletic Foundation board of trustees, and is a board member for Thermcor, Inc. He also participates on the advisory board for the We Promise Foundation.

The product of a military/civil service family, McGrath attended Norview High School where he graduated with honors. He also holds a BS in Business and Finance and an MBA from Old Dominion University.
