Cronus Law Welcomes Julia Acken as Staff Attorney

PHOENIX - June 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Cronus Law, PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of Julia Acken as a Staff Attorney, focusing on Labor and Employment issues.

A graduate of Northwestern University School of Law, Julia has spent her entire legal career in Arizona, practicing primarily Labor and Employment law. As a litigator, Julia has defended Mid- to Large-size companies against numerous gender, race and disability discrimination cases in state and federal court. She also has extensive experience representing both public and private entities in EEOC claims. Other issues that Julia has litigated include wage payment/overtime (state and federal), wrongful termination, Davis-Bacon, and state and federal leave issues.

In addition to her extensive litigation background, Julia most recently acted as in-house employment counsel to a large, international company. In that capacity, Julia partnered with the Human Resources Department on a daily basis to draft and implement employment policies, assist with union labor negotiations and issues, resolve employee relations issues, manage civil and administrative employment and labor claims, revise the employment handbook and draft multi-state addenda, audit the I-9 process and draft multiple job descriptions based upon state and federal wage laws. She also trained both management and non-managerial employees on employment law compliance issues.
