Abbey Resort Announces New Staff, New Menu at The Waterfront Restaurant & Bar

FONTANA, Wis. - June 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Located within The Abbey Resort, The Waterfront Restaurant & Bar is known for casual dining with a laid back vibe and unbeatable view of Abbey Harbor. Featuring classics ranging from satisfying burgers and barbecue to refreshing salads and wraps and a full children's menu The Waterfront offers something for everyone.  The Abbey Resort is pleased to announce several changes new this season at The Waterfront, including new staff, a new menu and an exciting lineup of live entertainment.

New Leadership

Changes at The Waterfront are being led by two new additions to the staff, including a restaurant manager and sous chef who will work together closely throughout the year to develop and present seasonally changing specials and promotions.

Arthur Conrad recently joined The Waterfront as Restaurant Manager, bringing with him more than a decade of experience in restaurant and kitchen management. Most recently, Conrad served as Managing Partner for Texas Roadhouse in Sheboygan, Wis. He resides in Delavan, Wis.

Tim Smith recently joined The Waterfront as Sous Chef. Smith began his culinary career at The Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake, Minn. and further developed his skills at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center as well as the Capital Grille where he worked with a team to successfully open the highly esteemed restaurant. Smith joins The Waterfront from the Red Lion Pub in Milwaukee. An Eagle Scout who spent his youth in Round Lake Beach, Ill., as well as Burlington, Wis., Smith now resides in Genoa City, Wis.

New Menu

The new Waterfront menu offers a variety of items including a refreshing Watermelon Cucumber Jar salad made with feta, cilantro and lime; a satisfying Beef Brisket Sandwich served on 9-grand bread with pepper jack cheese and basil aioli, and; Signature Baby Back Ribs slow-smoked on site in The Waterfront's traditional outdoor smoker using the techniques of award-winning Pitmaster Matthew Whiteford.  The complete summer menu can be downloaded through the following link: http://www.theabbeyresort.com/dining/the-waterfront.aspx

Live Entertainment

The Waterfront invites guests to enjoy some of the best musical artists from both the Lake Geneva and Chicagoland areas performing each Friday and Saturday night from 9:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Entertainment for the month of June at The Waterfront includes Hans & The Hormones, The Ethan Bell Band, Triple D, and The Big Al Wetzel Band.

Additional live entertainment is offered Sunday afternoons as part of Burnin' Down The Docks, held on The Waterfront's outdoor patio Sundays during summer and featuring live music by the marina, cold beer and award-winning house-smoked barbecue.  Live music will be provided by artists including Mike Stone, Chris Kohn, Al Wetzel and David Harlan.
