June 28: NAIOP New Jersey Slates Regulatory, Legislative & Legal Update Seminar

EDISON, N.J. - June 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Public policy issues affecting commercial real estate and the general economy will be the focus of a Regulatory, Legislative & Legal Update Seminar hosted by NAIOP NJ, the commercial real estate development association, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Sheraton Edison. Senate Environment Committee Chair Bob Smith will give the keynote address, which will be followed by two expert panels: Critical Water Resource Issues; and Site Remediation Update.

Topics will include water quality management planning, including flood hazard area rules, stormwater management, combined sewer overflow permits, and water infrastructure vulnerabilities and related funding issues. Also on the agenda is a look at site remediation, specifically the remediation process and what it entails, required due diligence, Remediation Action Plan/Response Action Outcomes (RAP/RAO) issues including what you need to know post-RAO, and pending revisions to the Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA). Additional NAIOP New Jersey public policy issues will also be discussed.

Speakers will include: David Zimmer, of the Environmental Infrastructure Trust; Dan Kennedy and Ken Kloo of the NJ Department of Environmental Protection; Neil Yoskin of Sokol Behot; Andrew Robins of Sills Cummis & Gross; Don Richardson of EWMA-Environmental Remediation and Consulting; Jorge Berkowitz of Langan Engineering and Environmental Services; Donald Shields of NJ American Water; and Clark Machemer of The Rockefeller Group.

The event will begin with registration, networking and breakfast at 7:45 a.m., followed by the program at 8:30 a.m. The program has applied for Continuing Education Credits for New Jersey-licensed brokers, attorneys, and architects.
