Sacred Heart School to offer "Principals of Aviation" course as part of SHIELD summer program

KINGSTON, Mass. - June 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school for students in preschool through grade 12, will offer a course on "Principals of Aviation" as part of its proprietary summer enrichment program SHIELD (Sacred Heart Interdisciplinary Education Leadership Development).

The aviation course, which last year received rave reviews, will be instructed at the Sacred Heart campus and include a day trip to Plymouth Municipal Airport.  There students will receive a tour of the airport and a ground lesson on flight controls and aerodynamics.  The outing will also include flights piloted by airport personnel, courtesy of Chris Hyldburg of Alpha One Flight Services.   To add to the excitement, the flights will take students over the Sacred Heart campus.

"Principals of Aviation" is one of 30 SHIELD courses offered this summer at Sacred Heart for regional students in grades 3 through 12. The one-week electives are designed to meet the specific interests of students and better prepare them for future studies.  The summer program classes will be taught by Sacred Heart staff, alumni, college professors, researchers, and other professionals in their fields.
