Duo Duo Project honors Lisa Vanderpump of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame at Speak Up In Sacramento rally for her work bringing awareness to Yulin Dog Meat festival
SACRAMENTO, Calif. & LOS ANGELES - June 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Duo Duo Project holds Press Conference Rally "Speak Up In Sacramento" June 15, 10am at Capitol building, urging California Governor Brown to address dog meat trade with California's "sister state" trade partner, Guangdong, China -- the known dog eating capital of the world and major supplier of dogs and cats to the protested Yulin Dog Meat Festival.

Awards will be presented for bringing awareness to the dog and cat trade. Recipients include Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, entrepreneur and co-founder of StopYulinForevr Lisa Vanderpump, StopYulinForevr co-founder Dr. John Sessa, California Assemblymember Richard Bloom and former Assemblymember Paul Fong.

Petition and letter co-signed by some of California's most influential animal rights groups will be delivered to Governor Brown after the Rally.

Duo Duo Project is calling on California Governor Brown to officially speak to "sister state" trade partner, Guangdong, China. Guangdong, one of China's most prosperous provinces, is also one of the largest suppliers to the dog and cat meat trade, including local consumption and to the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. The subject of international protest, the Yulin Dog Meat Festival, June 21, 2016, is estimated to torture, kill and eat approximately 10,000 dogs per event. Chinese activists have stopped countless trucks originating in Guangdong province on route to Yulin rescuing hundreds of starving and beaten dogs and cats.

Duo Duo's petition to shut down Yulin's dog eating event has over 2.5 million signatures making it Change.org's third most signed petition ever. Their petition localized to California urges Governor Brown to "Speak Up" to trade partner Guangdong and address their complicity in the illegal and cruel dog and cat meat trade.

Public, press and media welcome. Dogs too!
