ACEC/MA Announces Dewberry as 2016 Winner of Bronze Engineering Excellence Award

BOSTON - June 13, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has named Dewberry as a winner of their 2016 Bronze Engineering Excellence Award for work on the Callahan Tunnel Rehabilitation project in Boston, Massachusetts.

The 2016 Engineering Excellence Awards were announced at the recent ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala with emcees MA State Senator Karen Spilka and MA Secretary of Transportation Stephanie Pollack.

Dewberry was retained by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation/Highway Division to serve as prime consultant and to provide a full range of engineering services for the $23 million rehabilitation project.  The Callahan Tunnel is a critical transportation link for travelers from downtown Boston to Logan Airport and communities north of Boston.  The project was constructed on an accelerated schedule that completed the essential reconstruction of the roadway deck in just 2.5 months.
