40th Anniversary Brings New Attractions to Sterling Renaissance Festival
"This year, Ren Fest 40 will be the biggest and most thrilling season yet," said Doug Waterbury, owner of Sterling Renaissance Festival. "We're debuting a brand-new, three-story venue, two new musical acts, and several highly anticipated performing acts."
In addition to the crowd-pleasing favorites such as Live Joust, the Pub Sing, and Wench Auction, guests will enjoy two new musical acts featuring "Wolgemut," a high-energy bagpipe performance and "Randal Piper," a wandering minstrel who will sing guests their own personal song. Other new acts include the "Vodca Family of Gypsy Bellydancers"
The Warwick Inn, a three-story, multi-purpose show venue, will also be unveiled this year. The Inn will offer authentic pub food and beverages, while featuring commedia-style action, plays, and stunt melee shows.
Now forty years in the making, the Sterling Renaissance Festival is one of the oldest and most successful interactive attractions of its kind.
"One of the features that distinguishes the Sterling Renaissance Festival from others is our full-time professional corps of entertainers,"
Catch the merriment of Ren Fest 40 every weekend from July 2 through August 14. The grounds are open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm, rain or shine.
In addition to the live entertainment, guests can shop the unique wares of more than 50 select artisans and savor dozens of dining options from classic, hearty turkey legs to lighter fare and snacks. A wide variety of ales and wines are also available.
