Ices Plain & Fancy and POPtions! churn up a new Fancy Nitro Ice Cream, The Chicago Mix!

ST. LOUIS - June 15, 2016 - PRLog -- Ices Plain & Fancy and POPtions! are excited to introduce their first flavor collaboration - The Chicago Mix, available now at Ices Plain & Fancy!

Ever have that Chicago Mix popcorn? For those of you who haven't, POPtions! serves up this classic, savory-sweet blend of cheddar and caramel popcorn. Now imagine taking those flavors and adding ice cream to the mix!

Using POPtions popcorn, Ices Plain & Fancy has created a caramel popcorn ice cream featuring "Anti-Fried" cheddar popcorn.  Anti-Fried Popcorn soaks in nitrogen before topping the ice cream. The cheesy kernals get so cold that when you eat them, you breath out clouds!

IP&F Chef/Owner Max Crask says, "We anti-fried donuts for our World's Fair Jelly donut ice cream, and people had a lot of fun with it. I wanted to make another ice cream that would bring our customers that experience. We met the owners of POPtions at a wedding show - they rocked and their popcorn is awesome. I wanted to work with them and knew Chicago Mix was just the right flavor. The ice cream is sweet and savory, and when you pop the anti-fried cheddar popcorn into your mouth, you blow clouds! How cool is that?"

Ices Plain & Fancy is found in the historic Shaw neighborhood and has been serving up their flash-churned liquid nitrogen ice cream since July 2014.  POPtions Popcorn is St. Louis's personalized gourmet popcorn store located at The Village of Schneithorst's.
