Why a New CSR Program for Youth Can Impact the Future Economy of Dubai
Giving a child a present during the Holy Month of Ramadan is a great tradition in the UAE. This year, Michael J. Tolan wants to give them Business Lessons to foster the Spirit of Entrepreneurial Excellence in the Region.
Yes, indeed it is true. Our featured example was only 13 years old.
More and more young people are joining the enterprise revolution and out stripping the combined earning power of their parents.
These are not flukes, in fact the under 20 Millionaire club is growing everyday.
One entrepreneur is Jaylen Bledsoe, who started Bledsoe Technologies when he was only 13 years old.
He became a millionaire within just two years of launching his company.
Bledsoe Technologies specializes in both information technology and graphic design, and expanded quickly with over 100 people hired in the first 24 months.
Now that Bledsoe is a millionaire, he has started to invest in some other business ventures and has even opened up a couple more of his own companies.
Bledsoe is still just a teenager and it looks like the sky is the limit. To make some cash on the side, Bledsoe is touring from city to city and giving motivational speeches to other teens that are in need of some direction.
Bledsoe is a great example of why you should pursue your dreams, no matter what your age.
He is a great example of the definition of luck...
'When Preparation meets Opportunity.'
Preparing children, teens and university students for real life is one of the goals of the Lemonade Sand Box through entertaining through interactive workshops that put them in the chair of the Boss.
25 years ago, it would have been unthinkable for young person to have a real business idea and actually create a product or a service.
Life has taught us all that young people have an unbridled creativity that if and when nurtured can lead to amazing results. In the US, the list of Millionaires under the age of 16 is growing everyday.
Why not in the UAE?
Why not Everywhere?
The World Class Insitute for Innovation and Leadership, led by serial entrepreneur Michael J. Tolan are leading a project in Dubai for developing Business Entrepreneurship Awareness for the Youth in Dubai and eventually the GCC and beyond.
The Lemonade Sand Box CSR Initiative in Dubai, takes in name from generations past when the only enterprise young children were seen to be engaged in to earn extra pocket money was to set up a Lemonade stand and sell their 'fresh products' to all the friends and neighbors.
We adopted the 'Sandbox' to symbolize the place where kids make piles of sand and transform them into shapes from their ideas.
Enterprise and Play joined together are the two pillars of this program.
This Corporate Social Responsibility program will enable our team to gather educators, promoters, service providers, web and application teams to join our faculty and support team to make this program feasible.
Becoming a supporter and sponsor partner of this program will enable us to bring the possibility of enabling the dreams that children might have into reality . We have sent this project to The Office of Prime Minister of the UAE, HRS Sheik Mohamad's office to ecourage them to back the project.
More will be neededd
