SANTA ANA, Calif. - June 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Sponsored nonprofit Forge 54 has donated an estimated $1 million worth of pro bono marketing services to three Orange County-based nonprofits since 2013. Forge 54 depends on volunteers with skills in marketing, advertising, communications and design to achieve these results. Beginning in June, professionals and students may apply to be a part of a team composed of bold creatives who want to use their skills to make a difference in their community. Applications will close August 25.

Forge 54 recognizes the fact that not everyone is able to donate a significant portion of their funds to charity, especially students and young professionals just joining the work force. As an alternative, Forge 54 assembles a team of motivated individuals to donate what they can-time and talent- in a hackathon inspired skilled-giving marathon.

If selected, volunteers will donate 54 consecutive hours over just one weekend while working in teams of like-minded individuals to craft original content. Volunteers will create new marketing assets based on the needs of the selected nonprofit.

Last year, Forge 54 donated a new branding package, website, mobile application, social media plan, PR strategy, annual report, and several animated and live action promotional videos to Wells of Life. In total, the cost of the generated materials would have cost Wells of Life $574, 725 had the time and effort not been donated by Forge 54's 97 volunteers.

"Being chosen by Forge in 2015 was a tremendous boost to our confidence," said Wells of Life CEO/founder Nick Jordan. "Like so many small charities, we struggled with a myriad of issues including branding, marketing and crafting our message in a concise way."

Forge 54 operates with such impressive success because of the collaborative nature of their organization. By combining the ideas of young, determined volunteers who have a variety of skill sets, Forge 54 is able to efficiently produce a high volume of top quality deliverables to meet the selected nonprofit's needs.

"Forge 54 is so special because everyone involved is there to work as a team and donate their skills," said Forge 54 executive director Torrey Tayenaka. "The volunteers conceive and execute completely new ideas for a local nonprofit in need and they bring a passion, pride an excitement to Orange County's nonprofit community."
