WILMINGTON, Del. - June 9, 2016 - PRLog -- The Grainger Foundation, an independent, private foundation located in Lake Forest, Illinois, has donated $5,000 to Ingleside Homes Inc., in support of its Benevolence Fund Program that provides funds for services to seniors living at Ingleside.

"This grant will be used to help provide meals, transportation, gap insurance, and activities that allow seniors to remain independent longer," said Larry Cessna, President and CEO of Ingleside Homes.  "Ingleside Homes is a non-profit health and social services organization that provides affordable housing, health care, and supportive social services to low-moderate income seniors.  We are grateful to The Grainger Foundation for its generosity."

The Benevolence Fund donates approximately $130,000 annually to support the needs of senior residents living at Ingleside.  Many of these residents depend on donations to bridge the gap between their retirement income and rising cost of housing.

This donation was recommended by Chris Orsatti, Branch Manager of W.W. Grainger, Inc.'s, New Castle, DE location.  Grainger has been a part of the Delaware business community for more than 65 years as the leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair, and operating products.  "We are proud to recommend the programs offered by Ingleside Homes Inc.," said Orsatti.  "We understand the need in our community for affordable housing and supportive services for seniors."

The Grainger Foundation, an independent, private foundation based in Lake Forest, Illinois, was established in 1949 by William W. Grainger, founder of W.W. Grainger, Inc.
