NFL Home Town Hero Puts on His 10th Annual Charity Weekend in Paterson, NJ

PATERSON, N.J. - June 7, 2016 - PRLog -- 13 year NFL Strong Safety and 2 time Pro Bowler for the Indianapolis Colts, Mike Adams returns his weekend of free events for the community in Paterson, NJ, for the 10^th year in a row, on June 10^th and 11^th.  The series of events starts Friday, June 10^th 6pm at Eastside Park, Larry Doby Field, with the "Fight Night in the Park", in Partnership with the USA Boxing Association.  Saturday's lineup of events begin with a free youth football camp at Passaic County Technical Institute at 10am, then ends with a entertaining block party on Carrelton Drive, in Paterson, NJ, from 3-6pm.

"This is one of my favorite times of the year.  People in my hometown look forward to it every year, so I'm glad I'm able to provide the weekend.  It's very important to me to make sure my community knows I have never forgot where I've came from", said Adams.  "I bring in other NFL players throughout the league to support the cause.  The kids love it!"

About Mike Adams

Mike "Pops" Adams was born on March 24, 1981 in Paterson, New Jersey.  He is currently a Safety with the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League and 2x NFL Pro Bowler. He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers (2004-2006) as an undrafted free agent in 2004 and also spent time with the Cleveland Browns (2007-2011), prior to the Denver Broncos (2012-2014).  Adams became an AFC champion with the Broncos his 2013-2014 season and competed in Superbowl XLVIII.  2014-2015 NFL season, Adams became a Pro Bowl Champion, tied for league takeaways, and set a career high of 93 tackles as an Indianapolis Colt.  He played college football at the University of Delaware.  Mike is an active philanthropist and is committed to giving back to his community.
