Technology Refurbisher and Recycler to Host Open House and Educational Workshops - June 22

MADISON, Wis. - June 6, 2016 - PRLog -- Cascade will be hosting an Open House and Educational Workshops for the seventh time at its Madison, Wisconsin facility on Wednesday, June 22nd. The event will feature talks by Nathan Nissen, Global Environmental Leader from the Kohler Company and Cyber Security expert Derek Laczniak of M3 Insurance. Additional presentations will be given by Cascade technicians on topics such as applying NIST 800-88 Media Sanitization Guidelines to all data storage devices in an IT infrastructure and repairing smart phones and tablets.

There will also be tours of the Cascade facility held throughout the day. Participants can view Cascade's processes for data sanitization, repair, refurbishment, shredding and disassembly throughout the 40,000 square foot facility. In addition, informational displays and demonstrations will showcase on-site media destruction programs, on-line disposition reporting, refurbished equipment available for purchase, and the process to recycle unusable electronics into new products.
