Report for the Top 15 Best Affordable Colleges for Online degree Programs 2016-2017 Released

According to the latest ranking report by Collegestart.org, public and private non-profit colleges took all the top 15 positions with Florida state having the most colleges in the top 15 ranking. This Report is important to both parents and prospective students considering the recent report by Babson Survey group which showed that demand for online learning continues to rise. In the report, titled "2015 online report card - Tracking online education in the United States", 72.7% of students enrolled for online undergraduate programs and 38.7% enrolled for graduate level courses at public schools

Collegestart.org used various metrics to come up with the list of best Universities in various categories. Most of the data used to analyze colleges is publicly available from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Some of the factors taken into consideration are graduation rate, cost, acceptance rate, enrollment rate, retention rate, student to faculty ratio, percentage of students receiving Aid and Loan default rate.

The following Universities were named among the top.

Texas A&M University in Texas came top as the most affordable Top college for online programs. About 71% of all students at the university receive financial aid which includes student employment plans, grants, loans and scholarships.

LeTourneau University is one of the most popular and affordable online colleges in the country. Students joining the university will have options of enrolling for bachelors and master's programs. The university ranks among the top in the U.S News & World Report list of America's Best Colleges in 2014.

University of Florida accepts enrollment into bachelors, masters and doctorate degree programs in Criminal Justice, Computer Science and Environmental Studies among other subjects. It was recognized by Kiplinger in their report "Best Values in Public Colleges".

University of North Carolina at Greensboro offers a variety of programs ranging from undergraduate to doctorate level. In 2015, US News & World Report recognized the university as having some of the Best Online Programs.

Hays State University has a number of degree programs which are accessible at the associate, bachelors and masters levels. The Chronicle of Higher Education rates FHSU's online tuition among the lowest 2% nationwide.
