Veteran Gets Help From Motorcycle Shop in Titusville Florida
A Vietnam Veteran in need gets a helping hand from the owners of Florida Scooter Sales in Titusville, Florida.
I decided to place an ad on Craigslist to see if there was a local bike shop that could help me in getting my bike running up to speed. I got a reply from a shop in Titusville offering to speak with me to see if they would be able to help out.
I met with Scott and Steve, the owners of Florida Scooter Sales on S. Hopkins Avenue, and they requested I leave the bike overnight so they could evaluate the situation. The next day, Scott informed me that they had replaced the spark plugs which were not firing in sync. However, when taking the bike for a test drive, they found that the clutch was slipping significantly in mid-range. I had been aware of this but have continued to nurse the bike along when riding. The part is going to be ordered and fixed which means I will be able to use my motorcycle again without worrying about breaking down and being stranded somewhere.
I am so thankful that Scott and Steve have stepped up and helped me out. When speaking with them, I found that they both are supporters of Veterans and those serving in the military. The fact that they reached out to help a Vietnam Veteran in need is proof that they don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk.
I would like to add this plug for Florida Scooters:
"We service not just scooters but dirt bikes, sports bikes, and cruisers. Whether you ride on two-wheels or three-wheels, we're here to serve you. We welcome Veterans and those serving in the military as well as our local law enforcement officers."
I invite my fellow Vets to use Florida Scooter for service and repair of their scooters big and small. If you would, please shake the hand of both Scott and Steve and tell them thanks for helping a Vet out.
