Laurel & Hardy's Classic Comedy Celebrated on Screen and in Print

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - June 3, 2016 - PRLog -- The public is invited to enjoy rare Laurel & Hardy films and meet special guests at the launch party of a new lavishly illustrated coffee table book about the comedy team, whose classic films are still screened worldwide after almost 90 years.

The screening-at 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 18 at the Silent Movie Theatre (Cinefamily),  611 N. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles, Ca.-will be accompanied by a presentation and signing by Randy Skretvedt, author of a vastly expanded new Ultimate Edition of his seminal book, Laurel & Hardy: The Magic Behind the Movies.

The special edition-limited to 2,000 copies-boasts 632 glossy, oversized pages featuring:

• One thousand rare images, including many never-before-published, one-of-a-kind pictures from Oliver Hardy's personal collection.

• Fascinating accounts of the making of all the team's films, including anecdotes from exclusive interviews with their co-workers, accounts of hilarious unused scenes, and reconstructions of L&H's "lost" films.

• Details about the locations where the team filmed many of their most famous scenes.
