Cincy Chic Hosts High Performance Event June 16

CINCINNATI - June 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Cincy Chic, Cincinnati's only online women's publication, will host "High Performance @ 18|8" on June 16th, 4-8pm, at 18|8 Men's Salon in Oakley. The event will feature a meet-and-greet with FC Cincinnati players, exotic cars, bourbon and craft beer, pop-up shopsn of local businesses, complimentary chair massages, and special pricing on gift baskets/gift certificates - perfect for Father's Day or recent grads.

"This event is very dear to my heart as my son suffered from medical issues at an early age," says Chris Brown, owner of 18|8 Fine Men's Salons-Cincinnati. "Not only is the charity special, but the salon staff and I are also excited launch our new partnership as the official living experts for FC Cincinnati with this event."

All proceeds from the event will go to The Dragonfly Foundation, a 501 c3 non-profit dedicated to bringing comfort and joy to kids and young adults enduring cancer and bone marrow transplants. Supporting the families and hospitals that treat them, The Dragonfly Foundation now serves more than 900 families, but has touched thousands in their six years. As a grassroots organization, their patients range from birth to 30 years old, and most nonprofits stop at 18. The organization is excited to have a male oriented event to support kids and adults that go through cancer and bone marrow transplants.

"Often men tend to put their family first and this is a way to show them they can take care of themselves and have a fun day with the family," says Ria Davidson, Co-Founder of The Dragonfly Foundation. Twelve-year- old Maya Collins, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2011 and endured a bone marrow transplant, will be the featured Dragonfly at the event and will be available for interviews.
