San Diego Jazz Singer Daneen Wilburn Announces Her New Debut Studio Album

SAN DIEGO - June 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Singer, songwriter Daneen Wilburn is a one San Diego's most sought after vocalist.  A mainstay on the jazz, gospel, and R&B scene these past few years, Daneen is embarking on her first studio album with Grammy Winner Kamau Kenyatta as producer. Kenyatta's music credits include a 2014 Grammy win for best jazz vocal album "Liquid Spirit" for famed jazz singer Gregory Porter.

Daneen began her career performing in her family band in her early years. She later took some time off to raise a family but returned to the music scene without skipping a beat. She began to perform around town at local jazz venues, concerts, and music festivals. She has shared the stage in concert with renowned recording artist such as, world class bassist Darryl Williams, twin jazz duo The Braxton Brothers, and has opened up for one of the hottest guitarist worldwide Nick Colionne just to name a few. From her first sold out show and the many that followed the more she sang the more her audience consistently grew. Whether she is in an intimate setting or performing before crowds of over 20,000, she is always captivating and engaging with her audience.

One of her most notable moments in her career took place in 2014, when the San Diego Padres asked her to be the featured vocalist at the Tony Gwynn "Mr. Padre" Memorial Tribute at Petco Park.  Daneen's rendition of "Amazing Grace" echoed throughout the stadium amidst the fans flickering lights and the soulful harmonies of an award winning gospel choir. Her performance so riveting and heartfelt front-pages of local newspapers, media, and major league baseball news outlets headlined the story.

Daneen's sound defies placing her in any one genre whether its gospel, jazz, or R&B this songstress has it all. Her delivery of a song captures every word and you feel her deep soulful expression of each musical note. She tops it all off with a blended seamless flow.
