Professional Women In Building at Women Build Day for Habitat for Humanity
LAKEWOOD, N.J. -

PRLog -- The Professional Women in Building Council of the Garden State, chartered earlier this year, has already dedicated itself to helping several local community organizations. Last month, members of the PWB of the Garden State participated in Northern Ocean County's Habitat for Humanity's National Women Build Day. The group helped build a handicapped accessible deck on a home in Toms River. According to the President of the PWB of the Garden State, Giovanna Pergola, "We were thrilled to have a chance to help Northern Ocean County Habitat for Humanity with this project, especially for National Women Build Day." Pergola continues, "Even though we had just had our first official meeting the month before, our members were eager to participate. We have several other initiatives planned for 2016 and look forward to serving the communities we do business in."
In addition to community outreach projects, the council will plan and provide various professional development programs. On June 7
TH at 8:30 a.m., the PWB of the Garden State will be hosting a seminar at the Shore Builders Association office. The program is "She-Conomy:
What Women Want", and is recommended for anyone interested in learning more about how to sell to women. The seminar will be presented by Will Nash of BDX Digital Marketing and will cover topics such as personality differences between men and women and how that influences purchasing decisions, how women think, react, and experience the world differently, and what appeals to the female buyer and what turns her off. The cost of the program is $25.00 for NJBA members and $35.00 for non-members. Registration is available at

The PWB of the Garden State will also be organizing two collection drives during the summer. The first one with the help of SBACNJ Member company Design Floors is asking that each attendee of our annual beach party bring a donation for the Monmouth County SPCA Pet Pantry and the second will be a school supply drive for the United Way's "Tools for School".
