The Iver Academy host open afternoon and taster weekend

On the 9^th, 11^th and 12^th June renowned hair and make-up school The Iver Academy will be hosting two exciting events for young people keen to take a vocational route into the Film, TV and Theatre industry.

The first of these events on the 9^th June will be The Iver Academy Open Afternoon. The afternoon will offer prospective students a close-up, behind the scenes look at what it takes to become a professional hair and make-up artist working in film, TV, theatre and fashion. There will be the opportunity to meet a number of the Academy's award-winning teaching team as well as current students who are enrolled on a variety of courses, and who will be learning a wide variety of the skills and techniques necessary for a successful career.

From Saturday the 11^th to Sunday the 12^th June The Iver Academy will also host a taster weekend, giving prospective students the opportunity to experience the wide variety of skills and techniques taught across different courses. Attendees will get the chance to create a period character, learn some basic aging techniques and view all their makeup work on HD camera.

With the arrival of exam season meaning many students are now considering their future options, The Iver Academy offers creative individuals a route into a career based on vocational skills and practical experience, taught by BAFTA award-winning make-up artists who have worked with the likes of Kate Moss, George Clooney, Dame Helen Mirren and David Beckham.

Both events will take place at The Iver Academy, based at Pinewood Studios at Pinewood Road, Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, SLO ONH.
