Las Vegas City FC Becomes Newest Member of Rapidly Expanding United Premier Soccer League

LOS ANGELES - May 29, 2016 - PRLog -- The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) today announced the newest expansion team into the UPSL for the upcoming 2016 summer/fall season, Las Vegas City FC. The club, which was founded in 2015, brings an exciting and energetic team and organization to the UPSL.

Las Vegas City FCrecently hosted a friendly at Sam Boyd Stadiumfor the upcoming 2016 Summer Season as a member of the Nevada Conference with a friendly versus Miami United FC (NPSL) on May 14, 2016 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Las Vegas United FC included former Brazilian National Team player Ronaldhino on their playing roster.

Co-Owners Rafael Moreno and Marcio Granodos of Las Vegas City FC stated, "We are very excited to become a member of the UPSL as we want to participate in a competitive league that can push our players to the next level. The UPSL has grown over the years and we like the future direction of the league and at the same time, Las Vegas is a city that wants Futbol long term in the community. We look forward to kicking off the season this summer as have started our team preparation in terms of assembling a competitive squad backed with a strong coaching staff to lead the charge. We have several friendlies coming up to take a look at the many players that we have in our current player pool so these are exciting times for the club and the soccer community here in Las Vegas and the UPSL."

We are also very excited to continue our expansion into the Nevada Conference getting the conference up to eight teams currently. This growth will continue to allow the UPSL not only to strengthen its regional foot print but continue to push our mission to consolidate a fragmented men's adult Pro Development soccer market across America. The UPSL is very bullish on seeing Promotion-Relegation as part of the club soccer system across America and will be a leader in terms of pushing to set up the Promotions Relegataion system that is used world-wide outside of the USA."

United Premier Soccer League (UPSL)

The (UPSL) United Premier Soccer League was formed in 2011. The UPSL currently operates 40 plus teams all based in Southern California, Nevada, Arizona and Idaho with 50 plus teams targeted for 2016 Winter campaign. With the addition of new clubs, the United Premier Soccer League is America's fastest growing Pro Development League. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining UPSL minimum standards.

All UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
