The Accidental Award Winning VA

SUNDERLAND, U.K. - May 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Kelly Cairns, 36 from Ryhope, has been running her own business, KC Virtual Solutions, since 2007. In her own words, the business was started by accident when she was bored on maternity leave. Utilising her core skills, Kelly soon found herself working as a successful VA (virtual assistant) from her dining room table. Providing services to businesses globally, the demand for Kelly's business services has been growing year on year. As an early adaptor in the VA world, Kelly started on her dining room table and has had very ambitious plans ever since.

"When I returned to work after having my first son, I found the stress of finding financially-viable childcare almost too much to bear.  This time around, I decided that I wanted to really take control of my life and find something I could do at home, utilising all the talents I've developed over the years.  Being a Virtual Assistant is perfect - in my time working for the NHS, various Housing Associations and a number of small businesses, I've honed my administrative skills to a high standard and now have the confidence to deliver high quality results to businesses of all sizes" comments Kelly.

The business has not always been easy as Kelly also has two very active boys at home, one of whom has autism. In addition, Kelly was also diagnosed with postnatal depression during the early stages of the business.  However, Kelly is not deterred by a challenge.

Kelly's hard work and determination has been rewarded recently as the accidental business owner has now been crowned the Virtual Assistant of the Year in the North East, following her last 2 awards of runner up, she is now also off to London to fight for the position of VA of the Year for the UK in the National Finals in the autumn.

"I cannot believe I have won - I am so proud of my achievements. I get to run a business that I love and help so many businesses all over the world. I couldn't have dreamed for anything more … I am excited about what the future brings and already have lots of big plans, one of which includes being  a sponsor and judge for both Amazing Wearside Awards & Amazing Durham Awards in September '16!!"

Even though Kelly can't quite believe her achievement, her grateful clients certainly had complete faith in her and her abilities.

"Kelly is definitely my tech angel! I need ongoing support with my online membership club. She always resolves all of my issues and turns the work around really quickly, which you need when you're running a business. No question seems too silly, she walks you through the process step by step. I would highly recommend her to anyone, so long as my job isn't on her list first!!" comments Ruby McGuire of Cappuccino Coaching Club.

The award is organised by Be My VA and have noticed a huge increase in the professionalism and standards amongst all of the finalists for the awards. John from Be My VA also comments "amongst a very strong list of candidates, Kelly's stand out qualities centre around how she puts client outcomes at the centre of everything she does. She adds value to her client's businesses with a wide range of skills, experience and knowledge".

The future of Kelly's business is definitely bright, with big plans to expand the business through VA services as well as the provision of technological support to small business owners and solopreneurs.
