2016 Catholic Men's Conference on Solving World Ills

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - June 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Anxiety. Depression. Oppression, Addiction. All of these are signs of a secular world that is ill and in need of healing.

Our interior lives often seem to be in chaos, unhinged from an ideal of inner peace that seems unreachable. Outside of ourselves, we do not have to look very far to see more unrest: A staggering divorce rate, a pornography epidemic and many, many children growing up fatherless. What are we to do?

On a spiritual and pragmatic level, the 2016 Catholic Men's Conference that is to be held in Jacksonville, Fla., on Aug. 6, thinks it has the answer: Turn to Jesus.

"Many people today are in pain based on relationships gone bad. To compensate and attempt to make all the pain go away, many of them choose to medicate, using prescription, illegal drugs or pornography," comments conference speaker Brother Innocent of Icons TV and the Franciscan Friars.

But his brother (His twin brother is also a Franciscan brother!), Brother Angelus, suggests a better way, a better means to personal healing, growth and renewal: "Our personal relationship with our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, provides the fatherhood, love, mercy and renewal that we have all dreamed of."

And if that message were not enough, the 2016 Catholic Men's Conference will offer practical suggestions about how to develop a relationship with God and then let God lead.

Acclaimed Catholic Answers apologist and evangelist Hector Molina said that conference attendees will be inspired. "Not only will you leave the conference renewed and reenergized in Christ, but you will have the confidence to share the good news of Jesus Christ at home, work and your community."

But make no mistake, the conference speakers know how challenging it is for men today. Speaker  Fr. Michael Revak offers conference attendees and prospective attendees encouragement. "Have courage. You are a gift from God. Your masculinity, leadership, creativity and self-sacrifice are examples of Christ in you at this very moment!. When you leave this conference, by the grace of God, you will feel the Holy Spirit well up in you, leading you, your brothers, sisters, families, coworkers and community to reigniting our world with God's abundant love and mercy. Amen."

This year's Catholic Men's Conference will be held on Aug 6., at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 11730 Old Saint Augustine Rd in Jacksonville, Fla.
