The store, now well into its fourth year of operation has seen accelerating growth in rentals, tours and sales since their grand opening in February, 2013. "When we first opened, people hadn't seen electric bikes - they didn't understand what they were," said Pedego GLB co-owner Beth Black. "Now everyone has seen a neighbor zoom down the street or has heard about friends who bought them. They may have seen the TV commercial that we won through Time Warner Cable Business Class. Also, our Yelp reviews have been phenomenal.  In any event, they're coming into the store in droves. And we love sending each rider out with a huge grin."

At the start of this year, co-owners Black and Brian Ballard decided to step up for the larger community by focusing on all the ways these bikes can help people improve their lives. "Sure, they're a lot of fun, and riders have a great time on Pedego electric bikes," said Brian Ballard. " But they're also useful for people who - for whatever reason - can't ride regular bikes. We invite those with diabetes, arthritis, knee or hip replacement, or other challenges to stop by our store. One test ride can change a life. It did for Beth and me."
