Dose Optimization Intervention Case Study [INFOGRAPHIC]

BREA, Calif. - May 27, 2016 - PRLog -- PharMedQuest, an industry leader in Medical and Pharmaceutical Management Services, has released the first in a series of infographics detailing case studies of the various solutions offered to help manage specialty drugs. "Dose Optimization Intervention" details savings achieved by our client and improved outcomes for the patient, including fewer office visits and reduced toxicity of medication through the use of our proprietary software platform ARC™, or Authorization Request Coordination.

ARC™ works collaboratively with payers and providers to optimize the clinical, operational and financial outcomes for specialty drugs processed through the Medical Benefit, which accounts for 50% of the U.S. specialty drug spend.

The infographic breaks the case study down into three parts- the facts, the nitty gritty and the results.  The patient, who has prostate cancer, was prescribed weekly Docetaxel for treatment.  Our program intervened on behalf of the patient and recommended dosing Docetaxel every two to three weeks based on previous studies which have shown weekly dosing to be inferior in terms of outcomes.  The prescribing doctor accepted our recommendation, which resulted in not only improved outcomes for the patient, but cost savings to both the patient and the ARC™ client.
