CRI (Color Rendering Index) is a crucial index to evaluate the quality of light source. The higher the CRI, the nearer the object approaches its original color under a given light source. In many lighting applications, quality matters more than quantity. In other words, in many cases, how to display the real color of an object is more important than how bright the light is. To achieve the goal of high CRI displays, chips should undergo specific packaging process, and as a result, the luminance declines. Therefore, if the lamp is designed with poor dissipation mechanism, the luminance would decline further to an insufficient level since the lighting efficiency is affected by poor heat sink, and the worst part is that the lifespan of the product dramatically decreases.
