Employment Testing Center Opens in Kansas for Public Safety Job Seekers

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - May 25, 2016 - PRLog -- National Testing Network (NTN), the leader in outsourced testing for public safety departments, announces a new testing location in Kansas City, in partnership with Kansas City Kansas Community College, located at 7250 State Avenue.

This new testing location will offer online computer-based employment testing for entry-level firefighters, law enforcement officers, corrections officers, and emergency communications applicants applying for city, county and state public safety agencies.

NTN's state-of-the-art online employment testing delivers examinations with video simulations that depict scenarios candidates would actually encounter on-the-job in the position they are applying for. After viewing scenarios, applicants are asked how they would respond in a particular situation. This video simulation testing has been proven to be more effective than traditional paper and pencil testing in helping public safety departments find the applicants who are the best fit for the job.

With online testing, candidates are able to see their score results immediately after completing the test, and public safety hiring departments receive instantaneous score results once exams are completed. NTN provides public safety agencies with the most current applicant pool information and essential test score data so departments can quickly make good hiring decisions.

The Kansas City testing location is the fourth NTN employment testing facility in Kansas. "National Testing Network is excited to add an additional test center to help support candidates and departments in the Kansas City area," said president, Carl Swander, Ph.D. "NTN has already demonstrated significant strengths in recruitment strategies and test administration delivery for other regions in Kansas and Missouri through our candidate-focused testing model. Public safety departments are reporting increased diversity, significant cost reductions and higher levels of satisfaction after switching to NTN for their testing needs."

When asked about the new partnership, fire science program coordinator at the community college, Nancy Thomas, Ph.D., said, "The Kansas City Kansas Community College is so excited to be able to partner with National Testing Network to provide a testing center in the Kansas City Metro area. This will assist our local departments in finding the best qualified applicants and provide a one-stop testing facility for our men and women who are ready to work."

NTN is the sister company of Ergometrics & Applied Personnel Research, Inc., a human resource management firm with 35 years of expertise in testing public service professions.
