Marines have the ability to be anywhere around the world in 24-hours.  They do this by forward deploying to the various corners of the world in Marine Expeditionary Units, or MEUs.  A MEU is the smallest Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF).  It consists of a Command Element, a Combat Logistics Element, a Ground Combat Element, and the Aviation Combat Element.  With the help of the Navy a MEU gives Mariens the ability to fight in the Air, on Land, or Sea.  Fufilling their role of being our nation's 911 force.
