ACEC/MA Announces Air Water Energy Engineers, Inc. as 2016 Bronze Engineering Excellence Award

LEXINGTON, Mass. - May 23, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has named Air Water Energy Engineers, Inc. as a winner of their 2016 Bronze Engineering Excellence Award for work on the Athol Public Library Renovation and New Addition project.  The company, located in Lexington, Massachusetts was also the recipient of the ACEC/MA Small Firm Project Award.

The 2016 Engineering Excellence Awards were announced at the recent ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala with emcees MA State Senator Karen Spilka and MA Secretary of Transportation Stephanie Pollack.

Air Water Energy Engineers Inc. was retained by Tappé Architects as the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineer for renovation and expansion of the 98-year old library, one that was originally funded by businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.  The library identified the goal of achieving LEED Platinum certification, reflecting the community's desire to have a truly "green" building.  Air Water Energy Engineers, Inc. also provided energy modeling services for the project.
