Robert Rodriguez Joins Shutts & Bowen's Intellectual Property Practice Group in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - May 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Shutts & Bowen is pleased to announce the addition of Robert Rodriguez to its Intellectual Property Practice Group in West Palm Beach.

Rodriguez is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. He handles patent, trademark and copyright litigation matters and serves businesses and individuals in procuring and protecting their intellectual property. Rodriguez prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications for a wide range of technologies, including wireless communications, computer networking, cloud computing, software applications, electrical circuits and business methods.

He has advised in-house patent counsel on client patent portfolio matters and conducted invention disclosure meetings and patent harvesting meetings for corporate clients. Rodriguez's clients include Fortune 100 companies and individual inventors.

Prior to his law practice, Rodriguez spent more than 13 years as an electrical engineer working in the telecommunications industry. He utilizes his industry experience to better understand clients' needs and provide knowledgeable legal counsel.

Rodriguez earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida in 1999. He later returned to school at Nova Southeastern University and received his juris doctorate in 2012. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Rodriguez is admitted in Florida and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and he is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Florida.
