By: Knecht Studios Celebrated internationally, Ralph Michael Brekan will meet and greet Los Angeles area art collectors, students and cultural enthusiasts while demonstrating his unique collage makinging technique in person June 4th and 5th at Knecht Studio in Pasadena. Brekan's artwork reuses clear industrial plastics, called theatrical gels, commonly used to tint stage lighting, as an art medium. His work combines techniques of stenciling and layered cell-animation to create unique, colorful landscapes and portrait artworks heavily influenced by the 1960's pop art and assemblage movements. Brekan has exhibited fine art professionally since 1996. His work has traveled to eleven cities, seven countries, and three continents, making Brekan a highly visible artist in the international art scene. Los Angeles art patrons are invited to join Brekan at Knecht Studio, 1208 N Oxford Ave, Pasadena, CA 91104 on Saturday, June 4th and Sunday, June 5th from 11am to 5pm.
