Memorial Day Events at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force

POOLER, Ga. - May 23, 2016 - PRLog -- The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force is honoring the sacrifices of the fallen this Memorial Day with several events.

From Saturday, May 28th - Monday, May 30th, every visitor will receive a small American flag. We encourage our visitors to place these flags in our Memorial Garden, in honor of a fallen hero. There are around 530 memorial plaques in the garden, each one honoring a hero, a flight crew, or in memory of the fallen.

On Memorial Day (Monday, May 30th) we will have the Parish Youth Choir singing as part of our Music at the Mighty Eighth Series. The choir will sing patriotic songs in the rotunda at 11 a.m. for all visitors to enjoy. After the concert, visitors are welcome to enjoy the museum with 20% off regular adult admissions.
