ANNETTE RIVERS REVEALS THE UNIFYING POWER OF THE SPIRIT

SURGE MOVEMENT Naperville, IL May 20, 2016: This evening in a SURGE Experience Workshop, Annette Rivers unfolded key components of the Holy Spirit and how it connects us to the Kingdom of Heaven. She assured those in attendance that, God calls many but the chosen are those that answer the call. Both concepts connected to unfold a marvelous picture of God's heart to the audience.

Mrs. Rivers began in the 17^th chapter of the Book of Luke, announcing in the 20^th and 21^st verses that "the Kingdom of God is within you." She revealed that the gift of the Holy Spirit is a seal of the Kingdom of God within us, because the Holy Spirit not only is God's nature but reveals God's nature to us. As she continued in her discourse, she revealed several scriptures that identified the power given to us as the children of God, and even clarified the method of how we became his children; Romans 8:14-17. Moreover, since we aligned our hearts with "Abba, Father," we have become enemies to unrighteousness, namely to Satan.

As he is often called the "prince of the power of the air," Mrs. Rivers revealed that he makes attempts and efforts to block the prayers of the saints. As an illustration, the Book of Daniel, in the 10^th chapter was quoted, displaying God hears our prayers but the Prince of Persia (Persia means to humiliate) withstands the answers of God. However, the Power of Our Lord always reigns supreme and through His Spirit, given in the Book of Acts, we see that it is a connecting language from the mouth of God to the hearts of men, and vice versa.

As joint heirs with Christ Jesus, united in Heavenly Places with the Father through His Spirit, we have the ability to not only hear the call but to be chosen of Him. That choosing permits great power to us as His children; power over the enemy and power to overcome the afflictions that come with being sent of God.
