Search and Favorites Added to Quotes App

Search was always a necessity for Quotastic but it had to be done right. We looked at Apache Lucene and various services built upon it. The capabilities are superb, but the expense of a separate data repository overweighed these solutions compared to the integrated benefits of Postgresql full text search. Benchmarks revealed that, for the real world types of search we anticipate our users actually making, Postgresql matches Lucene in performance while reducing the complexity of the overall system architecture. Additional features include maintaining your own personal list of favorite quotes with the ability to tag each quotation with meaningful descriptions and labels that identify what each quote means to you.
