The Friday July 8, 2016 Morning Breast Cancer Survivors' Exposition, is a free registration and will allow breast cancer survivors, family and interested individuals access to the exposition hall, a unique opportunity to see and speak first hand to Certified Fitters and mastectomy providers.

The event is being held at the Intercontinental Hotel, 15201 Dallas Parkway, Addison Texas 75001.

Breast Care Professionals Summit & Breast Cancer Survivor Exposition has a dual purpose: to gather and educate Certified Mastectomy Fitters and related breast care providers and to raise public and professional's awareness of the need for post-mastectomy prosthetic intervention.

The general perception is that most or all women undergo reconstruction after breast cancer treatment has finalized.  However, breast reconstruction is not always an option.  Statistics show, for a multitude of reasons, approximately only 40% of women undergo reconstruction, post mastectomy. The overwhelming misconception is that breast reconstruction is for "aesthetic reasons only".  While aesthetics is a major part of post mastectomy treatments, restoration of the symmetry of the body is vital.  If not accomplished, serious, chronic conditions may develop. If reconstruction is not chosen, then the individuals who are trained and Certified to provide external breast prosthesis and other items, are Certified Mastectomy Fitters.

Registration for the Summit and Exposition hall is open to all health and breast care professionals and product representatives. Cost for the Summit registration is $85 which includes education seminars for both July 7 & 8, 2016. After June 15th the cost for the Summit will increase to $160. Education credits will be awarded by the American Board of Certification.

The Friday July 8, 2016 Morning Breast Cancer Survivors' Exposition, is a free registration and will allow breast cancer survivors, family and interested individuals access to the exposition hall.
