Austin's Own Rock Camp USA: 20 Years of Cultivating Young Rockers
Musician Dave Sebree and his company Austin School of Music are keeping Austin the Live Music Capital of the World, one student at a time.
By: Rock Camp USA Austin School of Music
During the two-week course held at Austin School of Music, students ranging in ages from 8 to 19 get to form a band with kids their own age, write an original song, and record in a professional recording studio.
The owner of both Rock Camp USA and Austin School of Music, Dave Sebree, is proud to operate a summer camp that teaches young musicians how to rock. "The camp was born out of necessity and out of our observation that the kids weren't getting together to play anymore," Sebree says.
Rock Camp USA hosts sessions in June and July. Enrollment is available online (see below) or at either Austin School of Music location. The general cost for admission ranges from $470-$850 depending on age.
Austin School of Music and Rock Camp USA are locally-owned Austin businesses that employ some of the best local musicians in Austin. Instructors combine performance and teaching experience to provide world-class music education.
Here's to another 20 years of keeping Austin rockin'!
