SAN DIEGO - May 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Here's a great opportunity to have your child show you around their classroom while meeting other dads! This forty-five minute event is designed to show you how much your child loves and appreciates you and all that you do while enjoying finger foods such as bagels, fruit, orange juice and coffee at our Montessori School in Santaluz.

"Here's a quick and easy way to see your student's classroom and meet other students' dads," Kristin Edwards, co-founder of Lifetime Montessori School (LMS) said. "Since Father's Day is later in the month, we thought this would be a fun snapshot for both students and dads before summer vacation is underway. Our kids make great progress each day and this is a wonderful way for dads to see firsthand how much fun their child is having."

"The main reason we're having this event is to illustrate the bond between father and child," Edwards said. "We asked many moms, teachers and children here at the school what it means to be a dad and what they said so astounded me that we just had to continue this event."

Being a dad means:

• providing unlimited love

• leading by positive example

• letting his child make his or her own mistakes and then teaching rather than judging

• never being afraid to openly share his weaknesses and mistakes with his children so they can learn and grow from hearing them

• being part of something bigger than himself

• being responsible for his family while sacrificing and providing for his children

• growing from being selfish to selfless

• teaching that one generation plants the trees and the next generation gets the shade

• having the ability to walk a mile in youth-sized shoes

• being comfortable being a hero to a child but being respectful of the power that being a hero entails

• knowing that your kids are watching and listening to everything you do and say

• that you are always there for your children

• giving unconditional love, strength and compassion while giving firm but fair discipline, protection and advice.

So, what are moms and children planning to do for dad on Father's Day?

"Our moms and students said they wanted Father's Day to involve activities that included not just their dad but their dad's dad," Edwards said. "Here are some of those activities: fishing; go-karting; paintballing; visiting the ballpark, zoo, aquarium and amusement park; golfing (including miniature); camping; going on a day trip, and visiting Balboa Park."

"We hope all our dads will visit us Friday, June 3 and hear what their children want to say: 'Daddy, I love you!'" Edwards said.

LMS is located at 14727 Camino De La Luna in the heart of Santaluz. For more information, please visit our website: www.lifetimemontessorischool.com (http://www.lifetimemontessorischool.com).
