Follow on Google News | First-rate creative writing courses in Bloomsbury, LondonRenuka David and Jane Madell have started a Writing School, W2A (Writer to Author) with courses starting in June in Bloomsbury.
Jane and Renuka met on a writing workshop eight years ago. They believe in helping others write to the best of their ability so set up W2A to deliver structured courses, designed to give a writer tools and techniques that allow them to judge their own work and take it to a professional level. As well as courses, W2A runs workshops under the guidance of tutors, where anyone working on a novel or other project can present their writing to a group for feedback. The long term plan is for W2A to be an accredited organisation that guides writers to become high calibre authors. About Jane and Renuka Jane has a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and was shortlisted for the Yeovil Prize (2011). She also taught at Kingston University and conducted seminars at Royal Holloway and UEA. She is currently in discussion with an agent about her two novels, the first of which is entitled, Keeping French Time. Renuka's background is in finance but she often takes career breaks to write and work on a pro bono basis for charities. After taking many writing courses, she self-published a novel, I saw a sunbird, through her publishing company. One of her screenplays has also been flagged by the BAFTA Rocliffe panel as, having potential and an interesting point of view. New Talent Renuka and Jane feel strongly about supporting new talent and are offering two free places each week on their feedback sessions to local university students who are studying writing in some form. Course dates 'Introduction to Creative Writing' will commence on 7 June 2016 in Bloomsbury, London and 'Feedback Workshops' on 9 June 2016 in central London. Website http://w2a.org.uk End
