As a result, she is forced to rebuild her life, and in the process, loses her boyfriend and her mother's support. Unexpectedly, her biggest ally in her journey forward turns out to be the baby's father.

As Juniper comes to realize that the man she loves no longer fits with the person she is becoming, the stranger who raped her is the one there to accompany her as she remakes her life. Surviving what happened and emerging as a stronger person is what this story is all about. And yes, Juniper does come to understand the power of forgiveness.

About the Author: Emily Sutcliffe lives and works in the remote coastal village of Tofino, British Columbia, Canada, on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, and writes everyday. Sarajevo Rose is her second novel.
