Sustainability Practitioner Workshop by DePaul University (CPE)
DePaul University (CPE) is hosting the Sustainability Practitioner Workshop in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainability & Excellence.
This two-day workshop provides an in depth knowledge of practical sustainability tools and strategies required to implement or upscale existing sustainability initiatives and strategies.
The Sustainability Practitioner Workshop is designed for professionals, managers, consultants, entrepreneurs and graduates involved or interested in sustainability, who wish to acquire the skills and competencies for applying corporate sustainability strategies in their organizations.
This training entails the following:
Understanding how you can apply practical sustainability strategies and gain a competitive advantage.
Learning about the upcoming local and global legislation on sustainability including Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the impacts of the 2015 COP21 agreement.
Gaining awareness of how to create sustainability reports based on the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) standards, the CDP, and other guidelines.
Understanding the basics for measuring a Carbon Footprint and conducting a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
Learning how Sustainability can form a strong business case through updated and relevant case studies, videos and exercises.
Becoming a part of a small, yet highly intensive group setting and supporting your career in sustainability.
Becoming an Advanced Sustainability (CSR) Practitioner accredited by IEMA.
How long is the course?
This program consists of two-full-days for a total of 15 hours.
